Dr. Michael C. Moore, D.O.

Dr. Moore is a graduate of The Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, class of 1992. He served for 12 years on active duty with the U.S. Army following his medical school training. This service was in conjunction for his participation in the US Army Health Professional Scholarship Program. Dr. Moore completed a Transitional Medicine Internship at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Denver Colorado, and a Family Practice Residency at Womack Army Medical Center, Fort Bragg, NC.

Dr. Moore is Board Certified in Family Medicine and is currently certified in Advanced Trauma Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, The Uniformed Services Academy of Family Physicians, and the North Carolina Medical Society.

Dr. Moore served in multiple leadership positions during his military career to include: Clinic Commander U.S Army Health Clinic, Kaiserslautern, Germany, as well as the Officer In Charge of the Clark Health Clinic and Transition Team. Clark Health Clinic, a 60,000 square feet medical facility, was opened under Dr. Moore’s leadership in 1999 at Fort Bragg, and was the largest U.S. Army Health Clinic. Dr Moore also served as the 18th Aviation Brigade Flight Surgeon of the XVIII Airborne Corps, Ft Bragg NC. During his tour of duties he deployed to Southwest Asia in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

Dr. Moore has chosen to take a break from active duty in order to build his vision of quality medical services for this community. His focus is on Sports Medicine and Trauma injuries, as well as Community Illness and Preventive Medicine. Dr. Moore has authored 2 articles on Aeromedical Accident Investigations and Aeromedical Evaluations for the Army Medical Department. Dr. Moore’s hobbies are coaching young soccer players and swimmers, physical training, and devoting time to his growing family.
